Airi Kobayashi

Airi Kobayashi joined The Royal Ballet as the Prix de Lausanne dancer for the 2024/25 Season.  

Born in Japan, she started ballet at age 6 at Deparc Ballet School. She studied under Koji Inoue and Kaori Inoue. In 2022, she studied at the Mosa Ballet School in Belgium under Olivier Patey.  

In 2017, she won the YAGP Japan Pre-Competitive Category (1st place) and in 2019, the YAGP Japan Senior Category (3rd place). She was a finalist in the 49th Prix de Lausanne and in 2024, she won the 5th place at the 52nd Prix de Lausanne.
