Biography

Alejandro Muñoz joined The Royal Ballet’s Aud Jebsen Young Dancers programme at the beginning of the 2024/25 Season.  

Muñoz was born in Madrid, Spain and began his ballet studies at the age of 4. At age 9 he joined the Mariemma Conservatory in Madrid. During his time there he attended the International Dance Competition in Torrelavega where he was awarded first prize in the Junior category.  

In 2019 he joined The Royal Ballet School at White Lodge, where he then progressed to the Upper School.  At his time there he was awarded the Progress and Endeavour award, the Ballet Association award and a special mention in the Lynn Seymour Competition. Muñoz graduated from The Royal Ballet School in 2024. 

Whilst at the school Alejandro performed for the John Neumeier 50th Anniversary gala in Hamburg, as well as galas in London and Czech Republic, where he performed Rhapsody pas de deux by Frederick Ashton. He also took part in various productions with The Royal Ballet, such as The Nutcracker, Manon, Swan lake and Different Drummer. For the School’s end of year performances, he performed leading roles in Paquita and Bournonville’s Le Conservatoire
