Biography

Born in Russia, he studied at the St. Petersburg Conservatory. He has been a member of the Young Artist Program of the Bolshoi Theater since September 2019, and in 2022, he took part in the Salzburg Festival’s Young Singers Project and made his festival debut. Roles include King René and Bertrand in Iolanta, Sobakin in The Tsar’s Bride, Prince Gremin in Eugene Onegin, Grandfather Frost and Bermyata in The Snow Maiden, Simone in Gianni Schicchi, Aleko and the Old Gypsy in Aleko, Masetto in Don Giovanni, and Angelotti in Tosca. On the concert stage, he has appeared in Mozart’s Requiem and Schubert’s Mass No. 2. Recent highlights include Timur (Turandot) and Eremit (Der Freischütz) at Semperoper Dresden, his house debut at Teatro Massimo, Palermo as Sparafucile (Rigoletto), Verdi's Requiem and Orbán's Requiem at Müpa Budapest, and Boris Godunov at Hungarian State Opera. His 2024/25 season engagements include La bohème at Teatro Regio, Parma and Turandot at Semperoper Dresden. He makes his debut with The Royal Opera in the 2024/25 Season as Colline (La bohème).
