Alexander Köpeczi

Hungarian-Romanian bass Alexander Köpeczi’s 2023/24 highlights included Colline (La bohème) at the Royal Opera House and Bayerische Staatsoper, Alvise (La Gioconda) at Teatro di San Carlo in Naples and Sparafucile (Rigoletto) with the Royal Opera tour to Japan. He made his international professional debut at the Royal Opera House in 2022 and joined the Bayerische Staatsoper ensemble in the same year. 24/25 highlights include: Sparafucile (Rigoletto) for Dutch National Opera, Astradamors (Le Grand Macabre) and Il Re (Aida) for Bayerische Staatsoper, Colline (La bohème) for his Metropolitan Opera debut, as well as for Semperoper Dresden and Israeli Opera; Fafner (Siegfried) for Atlanta Opera, and a triple appearance at Tiroler Festspiele Erl as Sparafucile, Ferrando (Il trovatore) and Dottore Grenvil (La traviata).
