Anna Princeva made her Royal Opera debut in 2022, as Mimi (La bohème).
Born in Russia Anna trained at conservatories in her hometown of St Petersburg and in Italy. Since then, she has appeared at opera houses in Bonn, Basel, Freiburg and Graz as well as at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, in roles including Contessa (The Marriage of Figaro), Elsa (Lohengrin), Violetta Valéry (La traviata) and others. Recent highlights include Nedda (Pagliacci) and Musetta at the Sydney Opera House, Hélène (Les vêpres siciliennes) at Rome Opera, Alice Ford (Falstaff) at Hamburg State Opera and in 2020, a recital at the Bregenz Festival under Enrique Mazzola. 2022/23 Season plans include a return to Hamburg State Opera as Nedda, and in 2024, her Berlin State Opera debut as Cio-Cio-San (Madama Butterfly).
