Biography

Avery Amereau made her Metropolitan Opera debut in 2016 as the Madrigal Singer in Puccini’s Manon Lescaut. She has performed at Bayerische Staatsoper, Santa Fe Opera, Seattle Opera, Opéra de Lyon, Grand Théâtre de Genève, English National Opera, along with the Glyndebourne and Salzburg Festivals. During the 2023/24 Season, she joined the guest ensemble at the Bayerische Staatsoper, performing Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Third Lady (Die Zauberflöte) and her role debut as Amando (Le Grand Macabre). Elsewhere, she made her role debut as the title role in Carmen with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra and returned to English National Opera to reprise the role of Serena Joy (The Handmaid’s Tale). 2024/25 Season highlights include her Royal Opera debut as Olga Eugene Onegin, returns to Bayerische Staatsoper for Amando (Le Grande Macabre) and her role debuts as Zerlina (Don Giovanni) and Leda (Die Liebe der Danae)
