British dancer Bethany Bartlett is a Artist of The Royal Ballet. Bartlett joined The Royal Ballet as an Aud Jebsen Young Dancer at the start of the 2023/24 season. She was promoted to Artist, 2024.
Bethany is from Devon and began dancing at 7 years old, training at the Rosemary Woodwark School of Dance. After being a part of the Royal Ballet School’s Junior Associate Program, at age 11 she joined The Royal Ballet School White Lodge. During her time at the School, she was awarded the Valerie Adams award for Exceptional Musicality, 3rd prize in the Lynn Seymour Award for Expressive Dance and the 2nd Year Artistic Prize for Progress and Endeavour. She graduated the school in 2023.
As a student she danced the lead role in Raymonda and performed solos from Le Corsaire and Don Quixote. In her graduate year, she performed Queen of Dryads in Don Quixote, Ashton’s Two Pigeons pas de deux, Jiri Kylián’s Sechs Tänze and Christopher Wheeldon’s Within the Golden Hour.
