Biography

Italian Soprano Chiara Isotton is a graduate of the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory in Venice, and is a member of the La Scala Academy, Milan, where her debut engagements included Sacerdotessa (Aida) and Alisa (Lucia di Lammermoor). Other house debuts include Margherita (Mefistofele) at Théâtre du Capitole, Toulouse, and as Tosca in Nagoya, La Fenice, Venice, NNTT in Tokyo, Teatro Massimo, Palermo, La Scala, Milan, and Maggio Musicale in Florence. Other recent and future engagements include Elisabetta (Don Carlos) in Marseille, the title role of Fedora, Fiora (L’amore dei tre re), Maddalena (Andrea Chenier) at La Scala and the Metropolitan Opera. Further engagements include the title roles of Suor Angelica in Verona and Tokyo, and of Medea in Toronto, Minnie (La fanciulla del West) in Lyon, Il tabarro and Suor Angelica at Teatro Comunale in Bologna and in Bilbao, as well as her debut at the Deutsche Oper, Berlin.
