Biography

Darrion Sellman was born in Ashburn, Virginia and started his classical training at the age of 10. He trained at the Académie de danse Princess Grace in Monaco from the age of 15. He has won the Youth Grand Prix award at the Youth America Grand Prix finals 2019. He was a Grand Prize Finalist for the Music Center Spotlight 2019 . He won the gold medal at the Gênée International Ballet Competition 2019. He was the first prize winner at the Prix de Lausanne 2022. He joined the Company as the Prix de Lausanne dancer in 2022/23. 

As a student, he performed in pieces such as Jean-Christophe Maillot’s Bach on Track, Goyo Montero’s Dummer, Albrecht's variation from Giselle Albrecht Act II, and Siegfried's variation from Swan Lake Act III.
