Biography

Dmitry Belosselskiy trained at the Russian Academy of Music, and his awards include second prize at the XIII International Tchaikovsky Competition. Career highlights include Zaccaria (Nabucco), Daland (Der fliegende Holländer), Ramfis (Aida) and Commendatore (Don Giovanni) for the Metropolitan Opera, Grand Inquisitor (Don Carlo) at the Bayerische Staatsoper, Lyric Opera of Chicago and Bolshoi Theatre, Doctor (Wozzeck), Fafner (Siegfried/Das Rheingold) and Hunding (Die Walküre) for the Wiener Staatsoper, Zaccaria (Nabucco) for Opernhaus Zurich, Heinrich der Vogler (Lohengrin) and Escamillo for the Bolshoi Theatre, Dosifey (Khovanshchina) for Paris Opera, Ramfis (Aida) for Teatro Regio di Torino, Zaccaria and Filippo II (Don Carlos) for Teatro Real Madrid, Boris (Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk) for Oper Frankfurt, Il conte di Walter (Luisa Miller) at the Liceu, Barcelona. 2024/25 Season highlights include Rocco (Fidelio) for The Royal Opera, Ramfis (Aida) for The Met, Grand Inquisitor for the Bayerische Staatsoper and Boris (Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk at the Leipzig Shostakovich Festival.
