Biography

Born in Nottingham, he studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. He has sung for UK opera companies including Opera Holland Park and D’Oyly Carte and at the Aldeburgh Festival. His repertory includes Leporello, Don Alfonso, Doctor Dulcamara, Ferrando (Il trovatore), Ramfis, Méphistophélès (Faust) and Scarpia (Tosca). His concert repertory includes Haydn’s Creation, Brahms’s Liebeslieder Waltzes, Stanford’s Songs of the Fleet, Finzi’s In terra pax and Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols. He is a member of the Royal Opera Chorus and has also sung solo roles in I due Foscari, Death in Venice and Der Rosenkavalier
