American soprano Elizabeth Weisberg studied at Stanford University and the Royal Academy of Music. Her opera roles include Melanto in Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria (Aldeburgh Festival and Globe Theatre), Diane and Aréthuze in Actéon and First Witch/Second Woman in Dido and Aeneas (Early Opera Company) and soprano ensemble in L’Orfeo (Opéra de Lille). She has sung at the Chichester, Winchester, Aldeburgh and Three Choirs festivals and performed with conductors including Mackerras, Norrington, Fischer, Haïm, Pinnock, Bicket, Kraemer and Curnyn. Selected concert highlights include Messiah (St Thomas’s Fifth Avenue, New York City, Philharmonia at the Royal Festival Hall), The Creation (Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment under Mark Elder in Poissy), Elijah (Royal Albert Hall with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra) and St Matthew Passion (Bridgewater Hall). She joined the Royal Opera Chorus in 2017 and sang the role of Danish Lady in David McVicar‘s Death in Venice on the Main Stage.
