Aud Jebsen Young Dancer

Biography

Francesca Lloyd joined The Royal Ballet’s Aud Jebsen Young Dancers programme at the beginning of the 2024/25 Season.  

Raised in Bedfordshire, she began dance training aged 11 at local dance school, Brocklesby Academy.  She gained an MDS scholarship to attend Tring Park and performed ENB’s Nutcracker in 2017 and 2018.  She attended The Royal Ballet School’s Senior Associates Programme from 2019. Two years later, Francesca joined The Royal Ballet School Upper School. She was a prize-winner in the Lynn Seymour Award for expressive dance. 

Performances whilst at the school include roles in Anthony Dowell’s Swan Lake pas de douze, Carlos Acosta’s Don Quixote, Kenneth Macmillan’s Four Seasons, Goyo Montero’s BOLD and Igor Stravinsky’s Firebird with Dame Monica Mason. In her graduating summer performances, she danced Jerome Robbins’ Mistake Waltz and the Principal role Paquita.  Whilst a student she was also involved in performances with the Company, including The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Manon and Swan Lake.
