Biography

Holly is now best known for her work on Yorgos Lanthimos’s film Poor Things, starring Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe and Mark Ruffalo for which she won a BAFTA, Academy Award and Costume Designers Guild award.  

As lead costume designer, she worked on Sally Potter's Ginger & Rosa and William Oldroyd's Lady Macbeth, led by Florence Pugh. In her early career as an assistant designer, Holly worked on many films including Oscar-nominated War Horse and Lincoln, directed by Steven Spielberg. 

Holly’s work in theatre, dance and visual art includes productions at Rambert, Complicite, Sadlers Wells, The Almeida, The Royal Court, The Gate, The Young Vic, Scottish Dance Theatre, Handspring UK and the TATE.  She designed for Hofesh Schecter's Untouchable for The Royal Ballet in 2015. 

On the small screen, Holly has worked on the pilot of Hulu’s award-winning The Great, and is currently designing costumes for the first season of HBO's television adaptation of Harry Potter.
