Biography

Mexican-American tenor Joshua Guerrero’s 2023/24 Season includes debuts with Teatro dell’Opera di Roma (Mefistofele) and Deutsche Oper Berlin (Madama Butterfly) and returns to Vienna State Opera and Dutch National Opera (Il trittico). On the concert stage he will debut with Orchestre National de Lille (La bohème) and return to San Diego Opera for a concert with soprano Andrea Carroll. Future engagements include debuts with Liceu, Barcelona and Opéra National de Lyon, and returns to Dutch National Opera, Vienna State Opera, Paris Opera and Houston Grand Opera. Recent highlights include his debuts with Vienna State Opera (Macbeth), Bayerische Staatsoper (Manon Lescaut) and Paris Opera (La bohème) and returns to the Royal Opera House (Madama Butterfly), Lyric Opera of Chicago (Don Carlos), Oper Frankfurt (Manon Lescaut) and Santa Fe Opera (Tosca). Awards include a Grammy for Los Angeles Opera’s recording of Ghosts of Versailles (Best Opera Recording, 2017).
