French-Canadian mezzo-soprano Julie Boulianne studied at McGill University and the Juilliard School. Roles include Stephano (Roméo et Juliette), Siébel (Faust) and Cendrillon for the Metropolitan Opera; Béatrice (Béatrice et Bénédict) in Toulouse and Boston, Annio (La clemenza di Tito) in Zurich, Marguerite (La damnation de Faust), Miranda (The Tempest) and Charlotte (Werther) for Opéra de Québec, the title role of La Cenerentola in Miami, Cherubino in Montreal and Vancouver, Donna Elvira for Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Charlotte in Frankfurt, Marguerite and Dorabella for Glyndebourne Festival, Oktavian in Brussels and Mère Marie in Liège and Vienna. She appears regularly in concert with major symphony orchestras, with engagements including Mozart’s Requiem, Les nuits d’été, Mahler’s Symphonies nos. 2 and 3 and Shéhérazade. Previously for The Royal Opera: Aloès (L’Etoile) and Dorabella (Così fan tutte). 24/25 season includes La Damnation de Faust (Liège) and concerts as artist in residence with the Orchestre Symphonique de Bretagne.
