Biography

From Bischkek, Kyrgyzstan, soprano Katharina Konradi won the German Music Competition in 2016 and was funded by the BBC under the New Generation Artist program until 2021. She has appeared at opera houses worldwide in roles including Zdenka (Arabella) for Semperoper Dresden, Ein junger Hirte (Tannhäuser) for the Bayreuth Festival and Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier) for Bayerische Staatsoper. In the 2023/24 Season, she will sing Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) for Vienna State Opera and Staatsoper Hamburg, Adele (Die Fledermaus) for Bayerische Staatsoper and Valencienne in Die lustige Witwe for Zurich Opera. Konradi has performed with orchestras including the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris, Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Symphony Orchestra of the MDR and Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra under conductors including Thomas Hengelbrock, Manfred Honeck, Paavo Järvi, Kent Nagano, Daniel Harding and Gustavo Dudamel. She made her Royal Opera debut in the 2023/24 Season inDas Rheingold.
