Brazilian dancer Leticia Dias is a First Soloist of The Royal Ballet. She trained at The Royal Ballet School and graduated into Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2015, joining The Royal Ballet as an Artist in 2016, promoted to First Artist in 2021, to Soloist in 2022 and First Soloist, 2024.
Dias was born in Rio de Janeiro and trained locally at the Petite Danse School of Dance before joining The Royal Ballet School in 2013, after winning a scholarship at the 2013 Prix de Lausanne. While at the School her performances included a Principal role in Liam Scarlett’s Classical Symphony and a Soloist role in Christopher Wheeldon’s Rush.
Her repertory with the Company includes Mercedes (Don Quixote), Lescaut's Mistress (Manon), The Fairy Autumn (Cinderella), Mitzi Caspar and Princess Louise (Mayerling), Sugar Plum Fairy, Rose Fairy and Mirliton (The Nutcracker), pas de six (Giselle), Florestan’s Sister and Fairy of the Golden Vine (The Sleeping Beauty), Prince Siegfried's sister (Swan Lake), Juliet's Friend (Romeo and Juliet), ‘Diamonds’ and ‘Emeralds’ (Jewels), Katia (A Month in the Country), Leading role in Anemoi and roles in Rhapsody, Raymonda Act III variation, Woolf Works, The Dream, Symphonic Dances, Sylvia, Elite Syncopations, The Winter’s Tale, pas d'action (La Bayadère), The Dante Project, DGV: Danse à grande vitesse, Scènes de ballet, Like Water for Chocolate and Corybantic Games. She has created roles in Robert Binet's Dark with Excessive Bright, Untitled, 2023, See Us!!, Flight Pattern, and Anemoi.
