Biography

American soprano Liv Redpath is a graduate of Harvard University and The Juilliard School, as well as an alumna of the Domingo-Colburn-Stein Program at LA Opera. Her 2023/24 Season engagements include a debut for the Metropolitan Opera as Oscar (Un ballo in maschera) and Pamina (The Magic Flute), and Zerlina (Don Giovanni) and Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier) for Santa Fe Opera. Concert appearances include Die Jakobsleiter with the Berliner Philharmoniker, Mahler’s 4th Symphony with the Celeveland Orchestra, L’incoronazione di Poppea with The English Concert and Bach’s Christmas Oratorio with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s. Recent engagements include the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor (LA Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Hamburg Staatsoper), Ophélie in Hamlet (Komische Oper Berlin), Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier (Bayerische Staatsoper, La Monnaie, Brussels), Tytania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Glyndebourne Festival, Atlanta Opera), Marguerite de Valois in Les Huguenots (Deutsche Oper Berlin) and Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos (Santa Fe Opera, Cincinnati Opera).
