Biography

British/French dancer Luc Foskett joined The Royal Ballet’s Aud Jebsen Young Dancer Programme in the 2022/2023 Season. 

Foskett was born in London and began taking ballet lessons at his primary school at the age of 6. The following year he joined The Royal Ballet School’s Junior Associate programme before joining the School’s full-time programme at White Lodge in 2014 at the age of 11. He joined the Upper School in 2019. During his time at The Royal Ballet School, Foskett was awarded the Artistic Award for Progress and Endeavour in 2018, 2019 and 2020. In his final year at White Lodge he was awarded the Frank Freeman Scholarship, and received The Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers Award in 2022 for progress in classical ballet training. Foskett graduated from The Royal Ballet School in 2022. 

Performances whilst a student include in The Royal Ballet’s The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet and Swan Lake. He also performed in The Nutcracker in Birmingham with Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2021. For The Royal Ballet School’s Summer Performances in his graduating year, Foskett performed the role of Jean De Brienne in Raymonda as well as lead roles in John Neumeier’s Yondering. 

For the company he has created roles in Gemma Bond's Boundless and Joshua Junker's Never Known.
