Lucy Crowe

Biography

Lucy Crowe studied at the Royal Academy of Music. She was awarded an OBE in the 2023 King’s Birthday Honours.  Her Royal Opera roles have included Musetta (La bohème), Poppea (Agrippina), Gilda (Rigoletto), Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro), Adina (L’Elisir d’amore), Eurydice and Ismene (Mitridate, re di Ponto). Other engagements include Merab in Saul, Vixen Sharp-Ears in The Cunning Little Vixen and Micaëla in Carmen (Glyndebourne Festival), Gilda (Deutsche Oper Berlin), Countess Almaviva in The Marriage of Figaro, Doña Isabel in The Indian Queen, Pamina in The Magic Flute and Rosina in The Barber of Seville (English National Opera), Susanna, Servilia in La clemenza di Tito and Adele in Die Fledermaus (Metropolitan Opera), Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni (Edinburgh Festival, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in concert), Vixen Sharp-Ears (Berliner Philharmoniker under Rattle), Pamina (Liceu, Barcelona) and the title role of Rodelinda (Teatro Real, Madrid, Dutch National Opera, Frankfurt Opera). She performs with orchestras including the Boston SO, Philadelphia Orchestra, London SO, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, CBSO, Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Berlin Philharmonic, Bayerischer Rundfunk Orchestra Munich and the Los Angeles PO. Engagements for 2024/25 included Málinka/Etherea/Kunka in The Excursions of Mr Brouček (Berlin) and concerts worldwide. Engagements for 2025/26 include her Santa Fe Opera debut as Rodelinda.
