Biography

American tenor Michael Fabiano’s notable engagements include Rodolfo in La bohème (Royal Opera House), the title role in Krzysztof Warlikowski’s production of Don Carlo (Paris Opera) and Don José in Dmitri Tcherniakov’s production of Carmen (Aix-en-Provence Festival). Recent recital engagements include French art song evenings at Théâtre du Capitole, Toulouse and Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, Valencia. In addition to his singing career, Fabiano is an avid general aviation pilot and runs a philanthropic organisation called ArtSmart, which provides at-risk students free year-round music lessons by paid professionals in schools across the US. Engagements for 2024/25 include Gustav III (Un ballo in maschera) for San Francisco Opera, Manrico for the Metropolitan Opera, Calaf (Turandot) and his role debut in the title role of Andrea Chénier for Vienna State Opera, Cavaradossi (Tosca) for Berlin Staatsoper and Staatsoper Hamburg, his role debut as Foresto (Attila) for Teatro Real, Madrid, Don José for La Monnaie, Brussels and Ruggero (La rondine) with London Symphony Orchestra.
