Biography

Natalya Romaniw is a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Awards include Young Artist of the Year at the Gramophone Classical Music Awards 2020 and Singer of the Year at the 2020 Royal Philharmonic Society Awards. Recent operatic highlights include the title roles of Kát'a Kabanová (Grange Park Opera), Tosca (Royal Opera House debut, and for Staatsoper Hamburg, Oper Frankfurt and Deutsche Oper Berlin). Other title role debuts include Ariadne auf Naxos and Rusalka (Garsington Opera), as well as her house debut as Jenůfa (Opéra de Rouen Normandie). Additional recent highlights include a return to Houston Grand Opera as Blanche (Dialogues des Carmélites) and Ortlinde (Die Walküre), and concert engagements with the CBSO and a return to the BBC Proms. 24/25 season highlights include a return to Welsh National Opera as Giorgetta and Sister Angelica (Il trittico), the title role of Tosica and her role debut as Helena (Festen) for The Royal Opera.
