Biography

Niamh O’Sullivan is a 2023-25 BBC New Generation Artist and former studio member of the Bayerische Staatsoper. Recent highlights include her role debut as Wellgunde in Barrie Kosky’s production of Das Rheingold at the Royal Opera House, Wellgunde in Das Rheingold and Götterdämmerung and Mercédès in Carmen for Zurich Opera and her role debut as Carmen in La tragédie de Carmen at the Buxton Festival. Her 2024/25 season highlights include Ino (Semele) at the Royal Opera House, house debuts at the Theatre des Champs-Élysées as Ino (Semele) and Canadian Opera Company as Olga (Eugene Onegin), as well as role debuts as Ursule (Béatrice et Bénédict) and Maddalena (Rigoletto) for Irish National Opera.
