Ukrainian soprano Olga Kulchynska appears frequently at opera houses worldwide, including the Metropolitan Opera, Zurich Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper, Paris Opera, and Liceu, Barcelona. She made her debut with The Royal Opera in the 2023/24 season as Micaëla (Carmen). Her 2023/24 engagements elsewhere included Musetta (La bohème) and Liù (Turandot) for the Metropolitan Opera, Ilia (Idomeneo) for Bayerische Staatsoper, the title role of Iolanta in concert with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra at Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts, The Tale of Tsar Saltan for La Monnaie, Brussels, The Bells in Utrecht and Amsterdam, and Stabat Mater at the Cankarjev dom, Ljubljana. She received First Prize at the Francisco Viñas Vocal Competition in Barcelona in 2015. Engagements for 2024/25 include Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) for the Metropolitan Opera, her role debut as Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte) for Bayerische Staatsoper, and a solo recital at Munich’s Künstlerhaus.
