Biography

Peter Riley is an orchestral arranger whose work spans concerts, theatre, dance, and visual media. He has written for artists including Abel Selaocoe, Goldie, Anna Calvi, Father John Misty, Alien Weaponry, and Pete Tong, collaborating with ensembles such as the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Metropole Orkest, Heritage Orchestra, and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Recent projects include arrangements for saxophonist Jess Gillam’s 2024 Prinsengrachtconcert performance, orchestral adaptations for the band Texas with the BBC Concert Orchestra, and contributions to the BBC Symphony Orchestra’s 2023 Proms reimagining of electronic composer Jon Hopkins’s music. He first worked with The Royal Ballet in 2022, orchestrating Michael Asante’s score for See Us!!, choreographed by Joseph Toonga.
