Welsh tenor Ryan Vaughan Davies is an alumnus of the Jette Parker Artists Programme (2023 -25), and a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music Opera School, Royal College of Music and Royal Northern College of Music, where he is an Associate Artist. Recent engagements include Captain (Candide) for Welsh National Opera, Cassio (Otello) for Theater Bonn, Borsa (Rigoletto), Remendado (Carmen), Nathanael (Les Contes d’Hoffmann) and Ruiz (Il trovatore) for The Royal Opera, Lensky (Eugene Onegin) for the Grange Festival and Tom Rakewell (The Rake’s Progress) for Theater Orchester Biel Solothurn. Concert highlights include the Lover (Il tabarro) with the Hallé Orchestra at the BBC Proms and a BBC television Gala celebration for Cardiff Singer of the World. He has previously appeared at the Southbank Centre, Grieghallen Bergen and in the US with the North American Festival of Wales. In 2024 he was the winner of the Welsh Singers Competition.
