Shane Kelly

Shane Kelly completed his undergraduate studies at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia. His early career as a physiotherapist started by working in sports clinics in the suburbs of Melbourne. Before moving to the UK he added a Masters Degree in Sport Physiotherapy to his tertiary qualifications, and was Postgraduate Scholar at the Australian Institute of Sport. He has been a physiotherapist working in elite athletics for 15 years and has been part of four Olympic cycles with the Australian and Great British teams. He was with British Athletics for ten years and was the Head Physical Therapist with British Athletics for five years, where he led changes in governance, strategy and leadership of the therapy team. He took up the post of Clinic Director of The Royal Ballet Healthcare in September 2020.
