American dancer Sierra Glasheen is a Artist of The Royal Ballet. Glasheen joined The Royal Ballet as an Aud Jebsen Young Dancer at the start of the 2023/24 season. She was promoted to Artist of The Royal Ballet in 2024
Sierra began training in California at Marin Dance Theatre, studying under Lynn Cox and former Royal Ballet soloist Margaret Swarthout (nee Maggie Lyons). Sierra participated in the 2018 Youth America Grand Prix finals and was awarded a scholarship to Canada's National Ballet School. Her performances with Canada's National Ballet School included the lead in Paquita, lead woman in Spring of James Kudelka's The Four Seasons and the second shade in La Bayadère.
Upon graduating from NBS in 2022, she earned the Peter Dwyer Award and the Erik Bruhn Memorial Award for Exceptional Dance. During her year at The Royal Ballet School, she performed roles such as the Principal pas de deux in Within The Golden Hour by Christopher Wheeldon and Cupid in Carlos Acosta's Don Quixote in her final summer performances.
