Simon Wallfisch is a graduate of the Royal College of Music, the Hanns Eisler University in Berlin and the Leipzig University of Music and Theater. He was a member of the International Opera Studio at Zurich Opera from 2009 to 2011. He made his debut in 2023 at Deutsche Oper Berlin as the Fifth Richter in Das Wunder der Heliane. Other roles include Fieramosca in Benvenuto Cellini (Staatsoper Nürnberg), Marcello in La bohème (Teatro Verdi Casciana Terme, Pisa), Escamillo in La tragédie de Carmen (Nederlandse Reisopera), Pelléas in Pelléas et Mélisande (English Touring Opera) and Albert in Werther (English Touring Opera). He has given concerts with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields and at Wigmore Hall, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Hamburg Laeiszhalle and at the Barbican Centre as a soloist with the BBC Singers. He has recorded extensively with pianist Edward Rushton.
