Soloman Howard’s 2023/24 highlights include Sparafucile (Rigoletto) at Staatsoper Hamburg, Marquis of Calatrava and Padre Guardiano (La forza del Destino) and Timur (Turandot) at the Metropolitan Opera and Commendatore (Don Giovanni) at Santa Fe Opera. In concert he has worked under conductors including Gustavo Dudamel, Christoph Eschenbach, Jakub Hrůša, Eun Sun Kim, Fabio Luisi and Harry Bicket. He made his Royal Opera debut in the 2022/23 Season, as Ramfis in Aida, and returned for Fafner (Das Rheingold) in the 2023/24 Season. Engagements for 2024/25 include Verdi’s Requiem at the BBC Proms, Sparafucile and Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte) at the Metropolitan Opera, Sparafucile at Lyric Opera of Chicago, Banquo (Macbeth) at Washington National Opera, Colline (La bohème) and Hunding (Die Walküre) at Santa Fe Opera, and Mozart’s Requiem at Liceu, Barcelona.
