Biography

Tom Pye is a set designer, whose recent credits include My Neighbour Totoro (RSC/Barbican Theatre; nominated for an Olivier and awarded Best Set Design WhatsOnStage Award), The Hours (Metropolitan Opera), The Ballad of Renegade Nell (Disney+), Gentleman Jack (BBC/HBO; RTS Craft & Design Award nominations for both seasons), The Seagull (Bolshoi Ballet), Akhnaten (ENO, MET, LA Opera). His Broadway credits include Long Day’s Journey into Night, All My Sons, The Glass Menagerie, Fiddler on the Roof (Tony nomination), The Testament of Mary, Cyrano de Bergerac, Medea. For the West end, he has designed for Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, A Christmas Carol, Sinatra, Medea. He has also designed for opera and ballet, including Cosi fan Tutte, The Death of Klinghoffer, Eugene Onegin (ENO and The Metropolitan Opera co-productions); Anna Karenina (Joffrey Ballet).
