Wallis Giunta studied on the Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artist Development Program and is a current ensemble member at Volksoper Wien. Her 2023/24 season engagements included Dorabella (Così fan tutte) for Opéra de Lausanne, Mary Magdalene (The Gospel According to the Other Mary) in Vienna, Carmen in concert at Maison Symphonique, Montreal, New Year concerts at Vienna Konzerthaus, Anna (Seven Deadly Sins) at Carnegie Hall with Ensemble Modern under HK Gruber, and a recital at the Tivoli Festival. Additional engagements have included appearances at the Edinburgh Festival, the houses of Lyon, Montpellier, Leipzig, Seattle and Dallas, Opera North, Canadian Opera Company and the Metropolitan Opera; and concert appearances with the Hamburger Symphoniker, Gewandhaus Orchester, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Münchner Rundfunkorchester, Toronto Symphony and the BBC Proms. Her 2024/25 season engagements include her La Scala, Milan debut in a Kurt Weill triple bill under Riccardo Chailly and the title role Carmen with Volksoper Wien.
