Story

The Royal Ballet School

The Royal Ballet School is one of the world’s most celebrated centres for classical ballet training. It is the leading classical ballet school in the UK and an international institution, attracting dancers with exceptional potential from the UK and worldwide.

Since its founding by Dame Ninette de Valois in 1926, the School has contributed immeasurably to our rich dance heritage, producing dancers and choreographers of international renown for generations. The School fosters academic and artistic excellence, holistically nurturing its extraordinary students and ensuring they are equipped to flourish within and beyond the world of classical ballet. The School also works to raise awareness of the benefits of dance and create opportunities for people worldwide to experience and engage with classical ballet, with dedicated in-person and online programmes for dance students, primary school children and the general public.

Accessibility

This event takes place in the Paul Hamlyn Hall and in The Royal Ballet School.

For the Paul Hamlynm Hall event, step-free access is available from both the Bow Street and Covent Garden Piazza entrances. Both have a power-assisted door. There are lifts and escalators which take you throughout the building. The flooring in the building varies – some floors are smooth and tiled, and some are carpeted. The spaces can be busy, loud and bright at times. We have accessible toilets on the Ground Floor, near the Linbury Foyer and on Level 5.

For The Royal Ballet School event, please let us know of your access requirements when completing the registration form.

Join our Access Scheme for priority access performance tickets and to personalise your account for your access requirements.
