With a mixed programme of heritage, classical, and contemporary works, the matinee features all years of The Royal Ballet School, with dancers ranging in age from 11 to 19. This is a rare opportunity to see some of the rising ballet stars of the future as they hone their skills and artistry at one of the world’s greatest ballet schools.

In a programme curated by Artistic Director Iain Mackay in his first season, the School will present the polished classicism of Petipa in the ‘Aurora’s Wedding’ suite from The Sleeping Beauty, re-staged especially for the School by Anthony Dowell in 2018, and Frederick Ashton’s charming Les Patineurs. 

The programme will also include exciting new works by Ruth Brill, Hannah Joseph, Jessica Lang and Arielle Smith, who will work with students on creations especially for these performances. Iva Lešić will also bring a new piece to the stage, following her spirited Royal Remix at last summer’s performances.
