About Ballet Black 

Since its creation 23 years ago, Cassa Pancho’s Ballet Black has transformed the landscape of British ballet by championing artists of Black and Asian descent. This Season, the company continues its longstanding association with the Linbury Theatre, returning with an innovative mixed programme.  

If At First 

In a co-commission with the Barbican, Ballet Black will also present an exciting new work by Sophie Laplane, Choreographer-in-Residence at Scottish Ballet. The new work, titled If At First, explores the complexity of humanity, heroism and self-acceptance. 

The Waiting Game 

The Waiting Game is an energetic work contemplating the meaning of life by Olivier award-winning choreographer Mthuthuzeli November, set to original music that features the voices of Ballet Black Artists.
